Viscoelastic Sealing

Viscoelastic coatings are a new and effective solution for corrosion protection of joints, flanges, valves, welds, supports, soil-to-air transition areas, as well as sealing and environmental protection around tank bottoms. Due to their high ductility and adhesion, these systems can perform well on irregular surfaces and in areas where hard coatings or industrial paints are not effective.

The viscoelastic nature of these coatings allows the system to maintain contact with the surface over time and penetrate into the pores and irregularities of the surface, creating a permanent barrier against the penetration of moisture, oxygen and corrosive agents. These products are produced in the form of viscoelastic paste and viscoelastic tape and, depending on the type of structure and operating conditions, can be used to seal and protect areas prone to pitting and crevice corrosion.
